Just a short walk from the Baan Thai Cooking School, instructors loaded up our baskets with fresh, local ingredients.
Our English Speaking Baan Thai instructor showed all 7 of us:
…how he makes coconut milk… seriously, just squeeze!
… different types of eggplant in Thailand…
… a variety of Thai limes…
… three different types of basil (including my new favorite- lemonbasil)!!
… their version of a “ready-to-cook” vegetable set
… and probably the most interesting find of the market (the Chinese call them 1,000 Year Old eggs and they’re not birthed pink… they’re dyed- I asked)!
