Here’s a snapshot of the Excel spreadsheet for the February 6-February 12 #LMLgiveaway. The tracking was completed in chronological order (first person to last person). To enter this giveaway, the person had to follow & tweet “I commit to (enter workout here) to #win a box of @Health_Warrior Chia Bars! #LMLgiveaway. For additional entries they had the option of subscribing to my blog and/or posting a photo of their entry commitment. Once the contest ended and everybody’s entry was accounted for in my spreadsheet, I made sure to check that all entries were valid- one was entry was not. What’s in your pocket right now?

Well in my pocket I have my:

  1. iPhone
  2. MetroCard
  3. Credit Card
  4. Keys
  5. and a Health Warrior Chia Bar!

These are the essential items I carry around NYC. And you might be thinking… a chia bar? Seriously?

Well, I don’t know about you, but I get #HANGERpains

And in order to avoid Hulk like behavior, I stash snacks in my pocket, my purse and my work desk…

If you hadn’t realized already, chia seeds are becoming kind of a big deal. I personally put them in my water, smoothies, salads, desserts… pretty much anything that will allow… and now I can have it in a snack bar!

Health Warrior specializes in Chia Bars which provides fiber, protein, and omega 3 oils. And to boost those good fats, oils and nutrients, they’ve paired it with the following flavors (listed in order of my personal preference):

  • Coconut

  • Chocolate Peanut Butter


Chia bars can be eaten anytime but I find that eating a chia bar “pre” or “post” workout is best! I don’t like eating before I exercise, so the chia bar suits me well pre-workout to curb my hunger until meal time, and post workout to replenish my body from calories lost!
