When I woke up this morning, I already had my outfit picked out.
- Lululemon Energy Bra
- Lululemon Pace Tight (Bottoms)
- And my favorite pair of Vibrams (Footwear)
As I entered Union Square Park today… I started to think about how much has happened since last year- friendships gained, opportunities developed, pounds shed, and all of the people I’ve met through lululemon.
You may not have realized this, but one year ago… I didn’t know a soul in NYC. After spending two years in Milan, followed by a tour around the world… I had grown quite comfortable with my nomadic lifestyle. Returning to civilization, standards, and expectations frightened me; so I spent the first two months in NYC eating “comfort food”.
My diet consisted of 2 desserts a day, zero exercise, and self-led food tours around NYC. After a few weeks of restaurant food and specialty cupcakes, I felt heavy, lost and completely uninspired. It only took my sister a day to pick up on my strange behavior… so she planted the idea to apply for a part-time job.
Unfocused and out of sorts, I growled at her for even considering the idea. Didn’t she know I was in the middle of brainstorming ideas for a lucrative business of my very own??
Two days later… I was on the internet searching for “real jobs” + “positive work environment” + “Lululemon Athletica”.
Lululemon helped me cope with my transition. I started to take responsibility for my body and actions by setting goals. I limited my sugar intake and started to workout with my new friends at lululemon as soon as I saw my midriff during the 2nd Annual Sports Bra Challenge.
