I followed Humans of NY when it first started out. I loved the random one-liners from typical New Yorkers. I appreciated the photo of the full-time janitor who finally received his degree from Columbia University 12 years later, and the random kids with cute smiles and comebacks.
Now that HONY is ridiculously popular, the photographer behind HONY tends to ask everyone the same sets of questions like, “if you could give one piece of advice to a large group of people, what would it be?”
And I were to give one piece of advice to a large group of people, I’d say, “Support your local greenmarkets, buy food from farmers, google simple recipes, try cooking your meals at home, and eat them with someone you enjoy being around.” It’s a mouthful, but it needs to be said.
What would you say?
