Are you obsessed with delicious food? Do you have a serious case of wanderlust? If so, you just found the perfect blog!

Welcome to LITTLE MISS LOCAL, I’m Justine! I started this blog in 2011 (while working as a teacher) in Milan, Italy to share my food and travel experiences with family, friends and fellow wanderlusters! After 3 years in Italy I decided to eat my way around the world to focus on local culture and cuisine.

This blog is no longer active, however I’ve decided to keep this running because the content is AWESOME. On this blog you’ll read about the times I’ve cooked alongside celebrity chefs at the James Beard Foundation, my travels around the world (YES, I WILL TELL YOU MY FAVORITE COUNTRY. IT WAS THAILAND). when I hosted events for companies like SELF Magazine, Lululemon Athletica, NY Yoga Life Magazine, and some of the dinner parties I’ve attended throughout the years.

If you want to see what I’m up to now visit byjustinema.com because I’ve turned my experiences as a food and wellness blogger into a business. I offer business coaching and brand/marketing services to freelance entrepreneurs around the world! If that’s something you’re interested in, make an appointment!

XOXO, Justine

WHAT’S YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH FOOD + CHEFS? I’m a chef graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute, the #1 culinary school in the world for health and wellness. Prior to culinary school I literally spent an entire year cooking/eating local cuisines all over the world, and yes, I blogged all about it.

I’ve food-styled and cooked with Carla Hall of ABC The Chew, recipe-tested for Chloe Coscarelli’s Chloe’s Italian Kitchen cookbook, and I’ve cooked alongside top chefs such as Mario Batali, Michael White, Marcus Samuelsson, Richard Blais, Jamie Bissonette, Fabio Vivani, Dave Blonsky and many, many more. If I’m not cooking with top chefs, I’m dining at their restaurants and speaking with them at the James Beard Foundation (I still volunteer at JBF on the regular… it’s my second home). If you’re looking to hire me, visit byjustinema.com

HAVE YOU BEEN PUBLISHED? I’m the Food Editor for NY Yoga Life Magazine and I was published in an e-book called Travels Mean Freedom. I’ve written for online publications like MarcusSamuelsson.com, OMGfoodie.com, lululemon.com and a few other sites. People love my foodporn.

As a lifestyle blogger, I attend food and wellness events in NYC, restaurant openings, and product launches. I judge national and international culinary events, sit on panels about health and wellness and host live events. If you’d like to contact me about a collaboration, send me a message via byjustinema.com

WHERE DID YOU TRAVEL ON YOUR TOUR? It was an ongoing tour that began in Milan, Italy so I specifically traveled to… England, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Mexico, Vancouver, and the US ( Seattle, Portland, California, Arizona, Chicago, NYC) for food culture. Prior to the tour I had already been to Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Belize, Jamaica, and probably a few other countries in between as well as few repeats.

DO YOU WRITE FULL-TIME? YES! I’m currently writing children’s books and LOVE talking about KIDS WELLNESS!

WHERE CAN I FOLLOW YOU NOW? Visit my new website byjustinema.com and follow me on instagram at @BYJUSTINEMA! Thank you for all of the love and support over the past few years on the Little Miss Local blog!
